Our Story

Built by freelancers, for freelancers

We know how hard it is to collect testimonials. Chasing clients for reviews, formatting them, embedding them on your site — it should not be this hard. So we built SayNicely to make it effortless.

Our Mission

The problem we are solving

As freelancers ourselves, we knew the pain of collecting testimonials. You finish a great project, ask the client for a review, and... crickets. Or you get a two-word response that does not do your work justice.

We tried Google Forms, Typeform, and custom-built solutions. They were either too complex for clients, too ugly to embed, or required so much manual formatting that we gave up.

SayNicely was born from a simple idea: what if collecting testimonials was as easy as sharing a link, and polishing them was as easy as clicking a button?

Our Values

What drives us

Ruthlessly Simple

We believe the best tools are the ones you never have to think about. Three layout options, zero configuration overwhelm. Everything works beautifully out of the box.

Built for Solo Operators

SayNicely is designed for freelancers, indie hackers, and small teams. No enterprise bloat. Just the features you need to collect and showcase social proof.

AI That Helps, Not Replaces

Our AI polish feature enhances your clients' words — it never fabricates. The original voice is preserved, just polished into something more professional.

Ship Fast, Iterate Faster

We ship features weekly based on real user feedback. SayNicely evolves with your needs, not against them. Your feedback shapes the product.

Build Notes

The product decisions come from a very specific kind of messy

1

Project ends and a client says nice things in chat or email.

2

You need something public-facing, but the wording is too short or scattered.

3

SayNicely turns that moment into a repeatable workflow instead of a one-off scramble.

Respect the client moment

We design around the fact that testimonials usually arrive when someone is busy, tired, and happy to help if the ask stays lightweight.

Reduce hand-editing

The best testimonial tool should cut down the awkward cleanup pass where you rewrite quotes in docs before they are presentable.

Keep the product opinionated

We would rather ship a smaller product that feels clear than an enormous one that turns collecting proof into another project.

Use AI with restraint

AI should clarify what a customer meant, not invent praise they never gave you in the first place.

Our Promise

We are trying to make social proof feel less like admin and more like momentum

If that sounds like your kind of product, you do not need a long onboarding story. You need a link, a clean wall, and a workflow that respects your time.

Try SayNicely

We will keep doing this

Make it easier to get a strong testimonial without making clients jump through hoops.

Keep the product simple enough that solo operators can actually maintain it.

Use AI to refine tone and structure, never to fake endorsements.

We are trying to avoid this

Bloated setup flows that feel harder than collecting the testimonial manually.

Enterprise complexity disguised as flexibility.

Features that create more content review work than they remove.
